Our Dubrovnik private tour from Split & Trogir here at Gray Line Croatia was designed to help guests have an authentic experience of Dubrovnik, even if they are staying in another city in Croatia. Dubrovnik is often referred to as “The Pearl of the Adriatic” and this is for good reason! It is an amazing town and a must-see location in Croatia. However, Dubrovnik has so much history and culture behind it that it really is advisable to take one or to specific guided tours
This exciting journey will lead you towards Dubrovnik and its fortified Old Town which is, without doubt, one of the most visited and photographed destinations in all Europe. You will start your private tour in a very comfortable air-conditioned bus, so just sit back, relax and enjoy the view at the breathtaking Mediterranean scenery. Based on the previous agreement with the driver you can stop to stretch your legs and take some fantastic photos.
After arriving in Dubrovnik, one of the most outstanding tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, you will meet your local guide and start an hour and a half long walking tour through the narrow streets of the historic core of Dubrovnik. Explore this amazing UNESCO World Heritage site and learn everything about its history and monuments. Dubrovnik is famous for its wonderful Renaissance and Baroque architecture, red brick roofs and its two kilometres long walls that have successfully resisted attacks of different enemies through the centuries. Explore the Old Town's central street Stradun, the Franciscan Monastery (with one of the oldest pharmacies in the world), the Renaissance Rector's Palace, the town walls, the Lovrjenac Fortress and many picturesque squares and churches.
After the walking tour with the professional local guide, you will have enough time to continue exploring Dubrovnik on your own. Make the most of your free time and stop by one of the local restaurants to taste some delicious traditional food. It's not a bad idea to take a ride on the cable car to the top of the Srd Mountain and enjoy the breathtaking view at Dubrovnik and its surroundings. You can also go to the local beach and take a quick swim or buy tickets for the Walls and take a look at the city from a completely different angle. Since you have approximately two and a half hours of free time, be sure to plan your activities before the trip since it is impossible to do all listed above.
After this well spent day in Dubrovnik, you will get back on the bus and start your journey back to Split. You will be dropped off at the same point where you were picked up.
